Making Headway Center for Brain Injury Recovery is a private, non-profit agency located in Eureka, California. Making Headway was founded in 1999 and became part of TBISCA in 2003. It is the northernmost and most deeply rural of the 7 TBISCA sites, and serves the largest geographic area. We offer direct services in Humboldt County and outreach and referral services in Humboldt, Mendocino & Del Norte Counties.

Our Services include:

• Community Reintegration
• Vocational Support
• Education & Outreach
• Psychotherapy
• Support Groups (including anger management, pain management and substance abuse)
• Therapeutic recreational activities
• TBI Life Skills classes four afternoons a week, in collaboration with Eureka City Schools

TBISCA provides a unified voice for TBI survivors, their families and the community through collaborative partnerships, legislative advocacy, TBI education and accessible technology.
